Abigail Simon is excited and proud to partner with Royal Ballet principal dancer, Matthew Golding, for a series of performances at the first annual Gala Internacional de Ballet August 11-13, 2017 at the Municipal Theatre of Las Condes.  They will be performing Romeo and Juliet's Balcony Scene, and the Pas de Deux from Christopher Wheeldon's After the Rain.  Abigail is dedicating her performance to the memory of her mother, Sarah Levine Simon, who passed away July 4, 2017.

Abigail Simon is proud to announce that she has joined with partner Ray Thompson to form Simon and Thompson Entertainment, managing ballet dancers, choreographers, and teachers.  Recently, they booked Ana Sophia Scheller as San Francisco Ballet's newest principal.  This past year they have booked and managed a number of top artists from New York City Ballet and Royal Ballet of London galas and principal guest contracts as well as dancers across America.

 

The bottom line is ballet dancers should be represented by someone who understands that world!

Abigail Simon is happy to announce that she will be reviving her role as the Sugar Plum Fairy in four different productions of "The Nutcracker" this holiday season.  If you are in the Houston or Tyler, Texas, New Orleans, or Williamsburg, Virginia area, Abigail hopes you can make it!

 

The Houston Dance Theatre in Houston, Texas will be holding their Nutcracker performances on November 26th and 27th.  The TJC Academy of Dance will be holding their Nutcracker performances on December 3 and 4 in Tyler, TX.  The Ballet Aviv of New Orleans will be holding their Nutcracker performance on Sunday, December 11.  The Virginia Regional Ballet will be holding their Nutcracker performances on December 17th and 18th.

This Sunday matinee performance of Ballet Aviv's The Nutcracker sold out within five hours!  Abigail Simon is both honored and excited to be Principal Guest Artist for the prestigious Conservatory of Ballet Aviv for the first time, famously reprising her role as The Sugar Plum Princess.  Everyone in attendance is sure to be delighted!
 

 

 

The Conservatory of Ballet Aviv [or Ballet Aviv Company] is a 501(c)3 non-profit ballet company which contains both professional and pre-professional divisions.

OBT Artistic Director Patricia Berrend was a member of the internationally known Hamburg Ballet and a founding member of the Washington Ballet. As Associate Director of the Washington School of Ballet, Ms. Berrend served for 20 years as Répétiteur for Mary Day's popular The Nutcracker.

Abigail is excited to be invited to perform for the opening ceremony at the American Physocological Association's Annual Charity Event, in Washington DC on Thursday, August 7.  The event will take place at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center from 4-5:30PM.

May 2-4, 2014

From May 2nd until May 4th 2014 the festival for ballet and modern contemporary dance - the Ballet & Performance Days - are held in Vienna for the fifth time, with nightly performances of various young and emerging national and international artists.  Abigail is thrilled to be among them, sharing the balcony scene from "Romeo & Juliet", with her partner, Yosvani Ramos.

 

"The goal of Ballet Days is to create a festival that appeals to every person interested but not limited to the classical ballet audience." says Gregor Hatala President austrian dance council and chairman of the Association Wr. Former State Opera Ballet.

 

The Location is the Odeon Theatre Vienna in Vienna's second district, which is an essential part of the cultural life of Vienna since the late 80-ies and is a perfect setting for all performances served.

An evening of dance theater featuring celebrated artists from the worlds of ballet, modern, and Broadway.

 

"Stories from the Night Before" is an evening of dance-theater choreographed by internationally acclaimed director and choreographer Maurice Brandon Curry.

 

"Whenever two people are on stage, there is an implied relationship," says Mr. Curry. "Every aspect of the piece ... choreography, music, lighting, costumes, all lend to the experience of narrative work. So in my creative process, I just conclude, why not tell a story?"

The Nutcracker Ballet is based on the story "The Nutcracker and the King of Mice", written by E.T.A.  The Alamo City Dance Company's production of The Nutcracker now boasts approximately 100 dancers in 160 roles danced by San Antonians with the exception of the guest artists, including Abigail Simon and Mauro Villanueva, previous of the Joffrey Ballet.

 

Tickets on sale now for the Saturday 2:00 and 6:00, and Sunday 1:00, performances.

Student dancers from Washington area ballet schools perform with professional guest dancers in this wonderful holiday tradition for all ages.


OBT Artistic Director Patricia Berrend was a member of the internationally known Hamburg Ballet and a founding member of the Washington Ballet. As Associate Director of the Washington School of Ballet, Ms. Berrend served for 20 years as Répétiteur for Mary Day's popular The Nutcracker.

Owensboro Dance Theatre begins the concert series with the magic of The Nutcracker on December 7th, at 7 PM at the River Park Center.  The Nutcracker is an Owensboro holiday tradition with sell-out performances each of the last four years.  Abigail will be performing as the "Sugar Plum Fairy", with her internationally acclaimed partner, Yosvani Ramos, & previous with English National and the Austrailian Ballet, as the "Cavalier".

November 30 & December 1, 2013

State Street Dance presents their 10th anniversary celebration of the classical holiday ballet, "The Nutcracker".  The performance will feature guest artists Mauro Villanueva and Abigail Simon, previously with The Joffrey Ballet, as the "Cavalier" and "Sugar Plum Fairy".  There will be three performances:  Saturday, November 30 at 2:00 and 7:00, and Sunday, December 1 at 2:00.

Abigail is excited to announce an upcoming Guest Artist performance in Los Angeles with the Barak Ballet.  The performance is called, "L.A. Moves", and features live music by the Malibu Coast Chamber Orchestra.  The event will be held at The Broad Stage located at 1310 11th St. Santa Monica, CA at 8 PM.  Tickets go on sale Monday, August 26th.
